Mineral Wells Achieves Texas Tourism Friendly Certification, Expands Partnership with the State of T

Mineral Wells, TX – Mineral Wells is excited to announce its completion of the Texas Tourism Friendly Certification, officially becoming the fourth city in Texas to achieve this distinguished recognition. This certification, awarded by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism, reinforces the community’s commitment to providing welcoming, inclusive, and sustainable tourism experiences. Mineral Wells is honored to join other certified cities in Texas that prioritize responsible tourism and visitor engagement.

This achievement is the latest in a series of state recognitions for Mineral Wells. In addition to being named Texas Tourism Friendly, the city earned the Texas Film Friendly Certification in March 2019, the Texas Music Friendly Certification in June 2024, and was designated as the Official Wellness Capital of Texas in June 2023.

“We are proud to have earned the Texas Tourism Friendly Certification, adding to our growing list of state recognitions,” said Rose Jordan, Director of Tourism for Mineral Wells. “This achievement highlights our community’s dedication to enhancing the visitor experience while maintaining the unique qualities that make Mineral Wells a one-of-a-kind destination.”
