AUSTIN – State Rep. Glenn Rogers has formally filed a pre-Legislative-session bill that, if approved, would designate Mineral Wells as “The Wellness Capital of Texas.” State lawmakers will convene in January. Austin news outlet KXAN on Tuesday first reported the bill’s filing on its website. MINERAL WELLS, Texas -- The U.S. Census Bureau has provided 2020 Census numbers to the Texas Legislature. Surprisingly, Palo Pinto County officially showed very little population growth from the last Census count. Census numbers are used by the Legislature to redistrict its House and Senate districts.
