On May 29, 2025, the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors celebrated the new addition to Palo Pinto General Hospital with a ribbon cutting ceremony for Palo Pinto Wound Care located at 218 SW 26th Avenue. This building was dedicated and named after James Patrick Colton whom the community loving calls JC for his dedication to many decades on the Hospital Board. Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce takes a formal position on redistricting
MINERAL WELLS, Texas -- The U.S. Census Bureau has provided 2020 Census numbers to the Texas Legislature. Surprisingly, Palo Pinto County officially showed very little population growth from the last Census count. Census numbers are used by the Legislature to redistrict its House and Senate districts. Gov. Greg Abbott has called a special session beginning September 20, 2021, to address redistricting.There are 150 Texas House districts, including House District 60 that encompasses Brown, Callahan, Coleman,
