Material Handler-Shipping and Receiving
POSITION: Material Handler
$18-$20/hr 40-50 hrs per week.
Qualification Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following duties:
- Read production schedule or requisition to determine items to be distributed.
- Moves material between receiving and production.
- Sorts and stores material according to established procedures.
- Fills material requisitions.
- Opens crates and other containers.
- Counts and records amount of material received and distributed.
- Enters receiving and disbursement data into the ERP system
- Drive a forklift
An individual with the following qualifications is considered qualified for the job:
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, safety rules and operating/maintenance procedures.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in real time situations.
- Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
