About Us

Palo Pinto ISD is a highly-rated, rural, PK-6th grade public school located in the county seat of Palo Pinto, Texas. Our district encompasses 177 squares miles, stretching from Possum Kingdom Lake and east in close proximity to the Highway 180 Brazos River bridge. We take pride in being a student-centered environment focused on overall educational excellence. We are always taking applications for transfer from families who may live in another school district. Though bus transportation cannot be provided to families who live outside of our school district, Public Transit Service in Mineral Wells currently has an a.m. and p.m. route to and from our school for a small and reasonable fee. We do provide bus transportation for students in our own school district, if needed.
