PPCLA 75th Annual Rodeo
Palo Pinto County Livestock Association's 75th Annual PRCA/WPRA Pro Rodeo.
May 9-12, 2012*Every night enjoy pro-rodeo events plus Mutton Bustin' and Calf Scrambles for the kids.
*Local Team Roping in addition to the Pros and two area girls riding groups.
*The Cowgirls of Hope open each night's rodeo and The Cowgirl Chicks perform their nationally renowned trick riding maneuvers each night during intermission.
*Beer and Food Concession by Mesquite Pit along with other snack vendors.
Wed. May 9-Slack at 5 with free admission. Lots of barrels and roping.
Thurs. May 10- Starts with trail ride that leaves the Parker County Sheriff's Posse at 8:00 AM with lunch in Millsap provided by the Parker County Posse and the Palo Pinto County Livestock Association. Arrival in Mineral Wells to ride in the 5:00 Rodeo Parade. Opening Grand Entry at 7:30 at the Rodeo Arena.
Friday May 11 - Wear Pink and help fight Cancer- 10% of the gate donated to fight cancer locally. Grand Entry riders get 1/2 ticket price voucher. Rodeo at 7:30 PM.
Saturday May 12 - Starts at 7:30 PM to see the Rodeo Queen and Princess winners crowned Ride in the grand entry and get 1/2 price ticket. Dance from 9:30 PM to 1:00 AM to the Tommy Hooker Band. Beer and food concession by the Mesquite Pit for the dance. Dance tickets are $10.00 per person.
