“Health Markets Factors Ailing Business” will be the subject of a talk by Spencer Harris, health care policy expert at the Austin-based Texas Public Policy Foundation, a free-market oriented think tank.
Harris will address how changes in federal and state laws and regulations are impacting business now, and how they will continue to change insurance markets in the years ahead. Although it is being contested in court, by 2014 businesses and individuals will have to comply with several new provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the major health insurance reform law that Congress passed in 2010.
