Friday Forum

Our monthly luncheon is called Friday Forum. This is a catered luncheon with opportunities for business spotlights, networking and a program featuring speakers providing legislative information and updates of local interest and importance.

This month's forum is titled, "Outsmart the Scammers," presented by Sarah Hahs, local financial advisor for Edward Jones.

Incidents of fraud are on the rise, and scammers’ tactics are becoming more complex. This presentation will help give you the information you need to "Outsmart the Scammers."

During the program, Sarah will discuss how to spot certain red flags that might indicate a fraudulent encounter, resources you can turn to in the event you or loved ones are targeted and steps you can take to help protect yourself and loved ones.

Some of the topics covered will be collection scams,  scams targeting grandparents, so-called "sweetheart scams," lottery/sweepstakes scams, Social Security scams, and more.

Please join us for what will be a very timely and important discussion on potential scams and what you can do to protect yourself and loved ones from fraud.

The forums are open to the community. Tickets are $20 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members.
