Election Day-Mineral Wells
The City election has a new home this year. It has been relocated from the High School to the Palo Pinto County Annex at 107 North Oak in downtown Mineral Wells (former Poston’s Dry Goods store). There is some parking in the front, and ample parking in the rear. Early voting will be held at this location, first day is April 30 and last day is May 8, 2012. Early voting will be held 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except on the two Mondays, April 30 and May 7, early voting will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Election Day is Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the same location. The ballot will have races for Mayor, City Councilmember from Wards 1 and 3, and two propositions. The first proposition is for the legal sales of all alcoholic beverages for off-premise consumption only, and the second is for an amendment to the Mineral Wells City Charter to provide remedy for violation of the Charter by a member of the City Council.
