Financial planner to give update on markets

In terms of the financial markets, how should we look at the first half of 2014? Can we pinpoint trends—new or ongoing—that might give us an idea of how the rest of the year will go?

The curious should attend Corner Post Financial Planning’s Mid-Year Update & Summer Gathering, set for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24.

The workshop will be hosted and sponsored by Titan Bank, located at 1701 E. Hubbard St. in Mineral Wells, as part of its commitment to provide financial education to the community.

John R. Berry, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERM, will present the program. Mr. Berry has owned and operated Corner Post Financial Planning, based in Mineral Wells, since 2006. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including positions at Curian Capital and AIM Investments.

The workshop will be held in the Titan Bank board room, and cool, summertime refreshments will be served.
