19th Annual CSWM Swing Fest "Heroes of Western Swing" Ceremony and Dance

Cowtown Society of Western Swing is proud to host the 19th Annual CSWM Swing Fest "Heroes of Western  Swing" Awards Ceremony and Dance.  Free to the public jam session starts Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM until  10:00 PM with live western swing bands playing all afternoon and evening at Holiday Hills Country Club, Mineral Wells,  TX.  On Saturday, May 6, 2017 the Swing Fest kicks off at Noon at the Holiday Hills Country Club, Mineral Wells, TX with  "COWJAZZ WESTERN SWING BAND". The afternoon will be filled with great live western swing music prov ided by  Cowjazz, Louise Rowe and The Texan Playboys, Bill Mitchell and the CSWM All Star Heroes Band, and Brady Bowen  and Gregg Gibbs heading up a fantastic western swing group of musicians for your listening and dancing pleasure.   Awards ceremonies to honor 27 "Heroes of Western Swing" will be held starting at 1:00 pm with the first presentations,  then 3:00 pm for the second presentations and ending around 5:00 with the third presentations.  Western swing bands  will play in between the ceremonies and then from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm there will be non­stop live western swing music and dancing.  There will also be silent auctions, a guitar raffle, tee shirts and programs for sale, food and beverages  available for purchase.  It's a two day extravaganza of "western swing music".  Our co­hosts for Swing Fest this year are  the incomparable, Leon Rausch, and the unforgettable, Gregg Gibbs.  Admission on May 6, 2017 for Swing Fest is  $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 12 and under.  Advance discount tickets can be purchased by contacting Joyce  Miller at 817/558­7580 or jmlbubbles032443@att.net.  You can also check out our facebook page at Cowtown Society of  Western Music.  We look forward to seeing you on Friday for the "free" jam session and dancing and at Swing Fest on  Saturday for more great music and to honor our "Heroes of Western Swing" inductees.  Our host motel is The Best  Western Motel, Mineral Wells, TX .  Call 940­325­2270 and ask for Valerie and mention you're attending the CSWM  Swing Fest to receive a discounted room rate of $69.95 room with two double beds and a free hot breakfast.  Cowtown  Society of Western Music is a 501(c)3 Non­profit Corporation dedicated to preserv ing, promoting and perpetuating  western swing and western music.  We are also a proud member of The Greater Mineral Wells Area Chamber of  Commerce.
