Job Description: The Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is seeking a professional and progressive-minded candidate to serve as its President/CEO. Mineral Wells is located 45 minutes west of Fort Worth and has a population of approximately 16,000. Mineral Wells is in Palo Pinto County, which has a population of approximately 30,000. The Chamber serves Mineral Wells and the surrounding area. The Chamber is seeking an outgoing leader who will grow, and zealously advocate for, the Chamber membership, have a positive impact on the overall local business environment, and be a part of the exciting growth that is happening in the Mineral Wells area. With the redevelopment of downtown Mineral Wells, the renovation of the Baker Hotel and Crazy Water Hotel, and the addition of Palo Pinto Mountains State Park, in addition to already-existing attractions such as Lake Mineral Wells State Park and Trailway, Possum Kingdom Lake, the Brazos River, and a long and interesting history, the Mineral Wells area is poised to become the tourism, recreation, and vacation capital of north Texas.

Required/ideal qualifications include:
•Must have an understanding of accounting/financials/budgeting and be able to oversee the financial stability of the Chamber
•Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills
•Strong people skills and ability to work closely with the board of directors, Chamber membership, and local and state government
•Competency to oversee, hire, train, and work with Chamber staff
•Flexible schedule, allowing for some evening and weekend work and attendance at Chamber functions, government meetings, and other civic gatherings
•Marketing and public relations experience to increase Chamber membership, expand the Chamber presence in the community, and promote the area to attract business investment.
•Willingness to live within a 20-mile radius of Mineral Wells (preferably within the city limits or within Palo Pinto County)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Recruit and manage the Chamber staff (currently 3 full time employees and several volunteers) and oversee day-to-day administration of the Chamber
•Report to and interact with the Chamber Board of Directors, including attendance at all regular board meetings,executive board meetings, and special board meetings
•Act as the primary liaison on behalf of Chamber members at the local and state level, including interacting with Mineral Wells City Council, Palo Pinto County Commissioners Court, and various state agencies and offices
•Plan and implement policies and programs to further the objectives of the Chamber
•Oversee the recruitment and retainment of Chamber members
•Promote business and tourism for Mineral Wells and the surrounding area
