MACHINE OPERATOR
Monday - Friday
7:30am - 4:30pm
$15.00 per hour, depending on experience
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare, operate and clean packaging equipment
- Ensure adherence to PPE requirements and safety practices
- Operate packaging and material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet production standards
- Safe use of equipment: various packaging line equipment, pallet jacks, lift equipment, inspection table, and labeling equipment, with special attention to all pinch-points
- Communicate with co-workers and supervisors
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Understanding Basic Packaging Principles (placing bottles, caps, and empty cartons on the line & verifying code legibility and accuracy while packaging bottles into cartons and shippers)
- Inspect bottles prior to placing into cartons
- Operate shrink film sealer when required
- Inspect cartons prior to placement into master shipper
- Inspect master shipper label and place product onto pallets per approved configurations
- Clean equipment, room, and accessories
- Perform lot reconciliations
- Assist with In-process Inspections
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient communication, math, reading, and writing skills
- Basic clerical and mechanical aptitude
- Able to work in a fast-paced repetitive work environment
- High School Degree or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift, carry, push/pull and frequently bend and stoop
