Homer was born in Mineral Wells in 1945 and went to Vietnam in August of 1968 as a Lance Corpral in the Marines.  He gallently gave his life in the service of his country and was awarded the Silver Star.  He can be found on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at Panel 44\, Line 10.
