DESCRIPTION:We have a big event coming to the airport on Saturday\, April 3\, 2021. A group called Airplanes & Coffee will have a fly-in that begins at 8:30 AM and finishes at Noon.  You are invited to come out and take a look at their aircraft. If you are a pilot\, you might decide to join their group.\n\n \n\nAs usual COVID-19 rules apply. The event is held outside the terminal building\, there is a limit of 49 people\, including the airport staff\, allowed in the terminal at any one time. Masks are required inside the terminal\, as well as social distancing and regular hand-washing after touching often-used surfaces.      \n\n \n\nAccording to their Facebook page\, Airplanes and Coffee is a group for anyone who loves aviation or a nice cup of coffee! They meet the first Saturday of every month at different airports to talk planes while drinking some delicious coffee. They have over 3776 members and are growing rapidly! They provide coffee and donuts in front of the airport terminal. Planes will begin arriving around 8:30 and the last one is usually gone by 1:00 PM.\n\n \n\nThey have recently held fly-ins at Midway\, Corsicana and Denton. With good weather\, they expect to have about 100 planes and over 150 people drop by. They are a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships for graduating seniors who are enrolling in an aviation-related program\, and they also help veterans and their families\, especially those suffering from PTSD and those families who lost someone in action.
